Level 3 and Level 4 Train to Teach, studied online
Train to Teach is for qualified therapists and practitioners who want to teach their own students, whether that means running occasional workshops or launching a full academy.
We offer both Level 3 and Level 4 Train to Teach entirely online, with a reflective portfolio you submit for marking rather than a filmed classroom assessment.
Level 3 or Level 4 — which do you need?
Level 3 Train to Teach suits practitioners teaching within their existing qualification scope — for example a lash technician training others in lash lift and tint.
Level 4 Train to Teach goes further into planning, assessment design, learner support and quality assurance, and is the level most learners choose when they intend to run an academy and certificate their own students.
- Level 3 — teaching within your own treatment area.
- Level 4 — designing, assessing and quality-assuring a wider training offer.
- Both are studied online at your own pace with a written portfolio.
The reflective portfolio
Teaching qualifications need evidence of your thinking, not just a multiple-choice score. Both courses therefore include reflective written questions covering session planning, differentiating for different learners, giving feedback, assessing competence and handling safeguarding.
You complete these in your account and submit them for marking. Once your submission is accepted, your certificate is released.

Teaching is one part of running an academy; the rest is structure, paperwork and pricing. - Can I teach beauty courses with a Level 3 Train to Teach?
- Level 3 is aimed at teaching within the treatments you are already qualified in. If you plan to build a broader academy offer, Level 4 is the more appropriate level.
- Is Train to Teach included in the sale?
- No — the current course sale excludes Train to Teach courses, which remain at their standard price.
